Rest is just the opposite of what most of us are feeling almost all the time. In this hi-tech pandemic era, the one we are is exhausted.
But what if we do not know how to rest?
According to Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith and her book Sacred Rest: Recover Your Life, Renew Your Energy, Restore Your Sanity, sleep and rest are not the same things, although many of us incorrectly confuse the two.
Finding time for rest is the hands and feet of the promises we long to claim.

So if sleep is not merely enough to get back our energy after a hectic day, a week, or even a year, then we should look for what it will because exhaustion can lead to serious health problems.
For me, exhaustion came out after many years of stress for my career as a woman in science. That made me want to just crawl in my bed and stay there for the rest of my life.
Because I only felt safe in my bedroom, I could not function as a human being outside of it. Hence I ended up in therapy to get some relief.
But maybe we can find ways to stop before we end up feeling overwhelmed and tired.
In this episode, we are discovering the seven types of rest we need in our life as described by Dr. Dalton-Smith.
Through her own scientific research, we can finally recharge ourselves if we just identify in which type we need to rest and learn what to do in order to achieve it.
Join me in this episode to find out how you can feel better physically and mentally by learning how to relax.
Takes courage to rest in the midst of an outcome-driven society. It takes strength to walk away from good in the pursuit of better.
