FOUR MENTAL BENEFITS OF WALKING

Walking is such a simple exercise but the most amazing thing about it are the mental health benefits that come with it.

Hence, many walking groups are organizing groups of people who have even severe mental health problems, such as depression, to get some relief from mental pain.

But thankfully everyone can have a taste of the health benefits of walking, as long as you are making it a habit.

A morning walk gives the body a chance to forgive the trials and tribulations of yesterday, to shed its rubbish and mental clutter.

Terri Guillemets

If you ask any doctor, walking will be the most common advice you will get for almost anything.

But our mental health is something we are the least concerned about, and so we do not take care of it as often as we should.

Thankfully, walking is also prescribed against stress and anxiety that most of us suffer from.

Walking is good for solving problems —it’s like the feet are little psychiatrists.

Pepper Giardino

As long as we walk regularly, we will experience the change almost right away.

And as we still keep walking often, we will feel the benefits longer.

So if you can change anything about your daily routine, it should be going for even a short walk around the block.
