Litter is the worst thing to do when you are in nature. Seriously, it seems we never heard of what a bin is.
Indeed cities have also a considerable problem with littering but we tend to expect this where humans live. But out in the wild, it is totally not acceptable.
Because we see so much animal suffering, we should just stop littering at once. Otherwise, we will see more videos of wildlife drowning in our own garbage.
I don’t like littering and I think it leads to terrorist activities.
Dane Cook
Although litter is something you see everywhere, we should not get used to it. But we should start thinking about why we do it and how to change our behavior.
By being comfortable to see trash everywhere, we are at risk to make it our permanent habit.
Yet even if we litter outside our own house, we still pollute our home: Earth. Hence we poison the environment including ourselves.
To motivate us in changing our ways, we may just need to learn the truth about littering.
There are six facts about litter we should know to understand better our actions:
- how it affects our health
- the problems on wildlife
- what is the financial cost
- why we do litter
- what about appearance
- and how the trash change when we dump them.
With education, we will hopefully realize that we cause more harm than we may think and motivate us to become the environmental superheroes we can be.
The trash and litter of nature disappears into the ground with the passing of each year, but man's litter has more permanence.
John Steinbeck
