What is Science Women Act (SWA)? Many episodes ago I have talked about a group for this initiative that aims to educate people on the challenges women in science are facing.
Science Women Act aims to promote women’s rights in science careers.
But now this initiative is under our wind and we already scheduling our outreach activities.
It reaffirmed my long-held belief that education was the enemy of prejudice. These were men and women of science, and science had no room for racism.

SWA is our effort to contribute to the discussion on the obstacles women have to overcome when they are becoming scientists.
Yet difficulties start early while studying in the universities and they only multiply when they pursue their careers.
Although there are not many studies regarding the issues of women in science, the ones that do exist are quite disappointing in numbers.
Hence we created SWA to raise awareness and influence local or even international actions.
So we will keep informed about our activities. But if you will like to help, you can do it too. It is starting with you.
We need all hands on deck, and that means clearing hurdles for women and girls as they navigate careers in science.
